NVQ 4 in Construction Site Supervision

  • NVQ 4 in Construction Supervision with a five day training programme to include training on the NVQ and skills to enhance Construction Supervision in the Workplace.
  • NVQ 6 & 7 in Construction Management with a five day training programme to include training on the NVQ and skills to enhance Construction Management in the Workplace. 
  • Collective training in this manner encourages progress keeping the momentum going qualifying people to an advanced level and at the same time training in Supervisory and Managerial skills to people who have not had any formal training before.



Excel Intermediate Training – 13 November 2018

  • This course is for people at the intermediate level who wish to learn more about excel. The course will also briefly cover some of the  key introductory elements as a reminder before moving forward.

Excel Advanced Training – 27 November 2018

  • This course is for people at the intermediate level who wish to learn more about excel.  The course will briefly cover some of the  key introductory elements as a reminder before moving forward.
  • This very experienced trainer for both these training will encourage candidates to learn a variety of Excel that they may not have discovered before.  With a small cohort of learners there is time to ask questions, try new ways and be encouraged to experiment with the system during the training sessions.


SSSTS Training – 20 & 21 November 2018

  • This course is aimed at both existing Supervisors or for employees who feel they are ready to take the next step. 
  • The certification for this course lasts for 5 years and is a recommended qualification for people at this level or aiming to work to this level in the future. 

Attendees completing the course will:

  • Understand the problems of the industry
  • Have an understanding of how health and safety law is structured and how it applies to supervisors
  • Identify how their supervisory role fits in with the management structure in controlling the site safely
  • Carry out risk assessments and understand the need for method statements
  • Carry out effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
  • Be able to monitor site activities effectively.

SEATS – 28 November 2018

This course is intended for those who have management responsibilities on a construction site and therefore targets site supervisors, site managers, assistant site managers, site agents and site foremen.

At the end of the course the delegates should:

  • Understand the environmental impacts and issues associated with construction activities
  • Understand why sustainability issues are important in the context of construction
  • Understand their duties with regard to waste management and statutory nuisance
  • Understand the requirements on water use, contaminated land and pollution prevention
  • Understand the issues of archaeology and heritage in construction
  • Understand the systems available to help in environmental management.


Women in the Construction Workplace – 15 January, 12 February and 12 March 2019

With this series of workshops, our aim is:

  • To help attendees see different ways of working. 
  • Think about tasks they already carry out and use helpful ideas to find ways of working more effectively.
  • Improve what they are already doing and take this to the next level. 

This is all about helping the individual to look at what they are already doing and think about how they can do things differently.


IPAF 3A & 3B Training – 5 February 2019

This course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for using MEWP Categories 3A (Scissorlifts) and 3B (Cherry Pickers) in the work place. There are no prerequisite required for this course although experience and a working knowledge of MEWPs is an advantage for successful completion of this course in a single day.

Successful delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and best practice on a range of MEWPs within the selected categories and be able to carry out a pre-use inspection and most importantly use them safely, in line with current approved methods and manufacturer’s instructions. 

SMSTS Refresher Training – 4 & 5 March 2019

SMSTS Refresher (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Training
This is a 2 day refresher training course for candidates who have already completed the original 5 day training course and their certificate is due to expire.

Do ensure that the candidate attends the refresher training prior to the expiry date shown on the certificate  otherwise the candidate will have to attend the full 5 day SMSTS training again.


Emergency First Aid Training – 23 January 2019 and 26 March 2019

This 1-day course is recommended and recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as a workplace first aid qualification.
